Valid passport

Must be valid for the duration of your stay in Australia (ideally 12+ months beyond intended stay)

Passport data page copy

Clear photocopy (front and back) of your passport biographical page

Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

Issued by your Australian institution. This is mandatory and must list your full course.

Letter of Acceptance

From the university or institution confirming your place in the program

Course details

Enrolment start date, end date, and expected completion date

Proof of funds for full tuition

Bank statements (6 months), investment certificates, or sponsor letter showing ability to pay course fees

Proof of living expenses

Bank statements showing at least AUD 20,000–30,000 for living costs for the first year

Evidence of funding source

Affidavit or statutory declaration explaining where funds come from (parent, sponsor, scholarship)

Sponsor letter (if applicable)

From parent or relative confirming financial support (with police clearance in some cases)

OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover)

Mandatory before arrival. Covers health costs while in Australia. Purchase from an approved provider.

Medical examination (if required)

Some applications trigger a medical exam request. You will be notified by DHA if required.

Chest X-ray (if required)

Required for many Indian applicants. Get this done before arrival if requested.

Genuine Student (GS) declaration

Confirm that you are a genuine student intending to study in Australia

Character declaration

Confirm you have no criminal convictions and meet character requirements
