Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Settldown is a three-sided marketplace connecting students seeking international education guidance with verified consultancies, education loan agents, and exam coaching institutes. We are a technology platform and lead-generation service — not an immigration advisor, financial advisor, or educational institution.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• If registering as an agent, you represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of the entity you register.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration and keep it up to date.

3. Student Accounts

• Students may use the Platform free of charge to post enquiries, use tools, and access guides.
• By posting an enquiry, you consent to verified agents viewing your enquiry details and, upon purchasing a credit unlock, your contact information.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your enquiries.
• You may not post fake, spam, or duplicate enquiries.

4. Agent Accounts (Consultancies, Loan Agents, Exam Coaches)

• Agents must apply for and receive admin approval before being listed on the Platform.
• By unlocking an enquiry, you agree to contact the student only for the purpose of providing the service they requested.
• You may not resell, share, or transfer unlocked contact details to any third party.
• You may not contact students for unsolicited marketing unrelated to their stated enquiry.
• Settldown reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that receive repeated complaints, misrepresent services, or violate these Terms.

5. Credits and Payments

• Credits are purchased in advance and are non-transferable between accounts.
• Credits do not expire unless an account is terminated for a Terms violation.
• Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
• All payments are processed by Razorpay. Settldown does not store card or bank account details.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable GST. A GST invoice is issued for every transaction.

6. Platform Rules

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Indian law.
• Scrape, copy, or harvest student data in bulk.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Platform infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Post false reviews, ratings, or testimonials.
• Circumvent the credit system by contacting students found through the Platform outside of it.

7. Settldown Liability

Settldown does not guarantee:

• The quality or accuracy of services provided by any agent.
• Visa approvals, university admissions, loan approvals, or exam scores.
• The truthfulness of information submitted by students or agents.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Settldown liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Settldown in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform content is owned by or licensed to Settldown. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission. User-submitted content remains yours, but you grant Settldown a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or cause harm to users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Unused credits at voluntary closure may be refunded subject to our Refund Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. We encourage you to contact hello@settldown.com to resolve disputes informally before legal proceedings.
