NOC code confusion โ€” am I TEER 1 or TEER 2? It matters for CEC

My job title is 'Data Analyst' but I've seen it mapped to multiple NOC codes: 21223 (Data analyst โ€” TEER 1), 14111 (General office support โ€” TEER 4), or sometimes 13201. My actual duties are: SQL queries, Python scripting, building dashboards in Tableau, writing business reports. My employer says the internal job code is 'Business Intelligence Analyst.' For CEC, you need TEER 0/1/2/3. If I'm TEER 4 I don't qualify at all. How do I definitively find my NOC, and if I disagree with my employer's code, can I choose differently on my PR application?

Perfect timing! I'm arriving next month and this guide is incredibly helpful. Did you have any trouble with the office being crowded?

Saved this post for later. Really thorough breakdown of the entire process. Will definitely share with my roommate who's just starting this journey.
